How to Make Your Short Film Better – Do’s & Don’ts (Webinar) is a relaxed, supportive and insight-packed online session led by Shorts 2 Features’ very own producer, Arnaldo Stafa - from AKi studio [www.akistudiolondon.com].
Created especially for emerging and independent filmmakers, this webinar is all about sharing what genuinely helps a short film stand out — and what often quietly holds it back.
Arnaldo is currently in the middle of the festival journey, with four short films playing internationally, including the award-winning Sunburn and Decode Me. Using real, up-to-date experience from these projects, he will break down the practical lessons he has learned along the way.
In a friendly and open session, the webinar will cover the key do’s and don’ts of making a better short film, including:
how to choose and shape the right story for the short format
common script and storytelling pitfalls (and how to avoid them)
production choices that quietly raise the quality of your film
mistakes that can make a film feel smaller than it needs to be
how to think about festivals while still protecting your creative vision
Rather than focusing on theory, the session looks at the real decisions filmmakers face — from development through to post-production and festival submissions — and how small changes can make a big difference to how a film is received.
Hosted by Shorts 2 Features, this webinar is designed to be encouraging, honest and immediately useful, whether you are about to make your first short, or trying to improve the impact of the next one.
It’s a chance to learn directly from a producer who is navigating the festival circuit right now, and to come away with clearer, more confident tools to help your short film be the best version of itself.
